Buddy3D Camera for Prusa CORE One
The Buddy3D Camera for Prusa CORE One gives you sharp 1080p monitoring with infrared night vision, so you can check on your prints even in a completely dark room. The motorized head covers 180° horizontally and 45° vertically, and the camera attaches magnetically to the CORE One frame for quick, tool-free installation.

24/7 Monitoring
Choose between Day, Night, or Auto mode. Auto is the hands-off option: it senses ambient light levels and switches between day and night profiles on its own, making it a good fit for print farms or workshops that run around the clock. The camera is rated for temperatures up to 65 °C, so it can sit right inside your CORE One enclosure.
If your printer is in another room, you can stream the video feed over your local network directly to the Prusa App. Full online streaming is planned for a future update. The camera's firmware is updated over the air, so new features are added automatically as they become available.
Easy to Set Up
Getting started takes under a minute. Open Prusa Connect or the Prusa App, pick your CORE One from the printer list, and display the QR code on your screen. The camera scans it and connects to Wi-Fi on its own. Mounting is just as simple: built-in magnets snap the camera directly onto the CORE One frame with no tools or extra hardware.
Timelapse Support
Use the Prusa App to set a capture interval anywhere from 5 to 300 seconds. Each frame is saved to a microSD card (sold separately) so you can put together a timelapse in your preferred video editor. A future firmware update will add the ability to download finished timelapse videos directly from the app.
Built with Security in Mind
The Buddy3D Camera is manufactured by a third-party partner, but the hardware selection, firmware, and testing were all done under close supervision by the Prusa engineering team. The custom firmware was written, reviewed, and stress-tested in-house, and the camera went through extensive network security testing before release. All data flows between the camera and Prusa's secured servers only, with no exceptions.
The camera works only with Prusa Connect and the Prusa App.
