What Makes GEN 2 Different?

The GEN 2 boards represent a complete redesign focused on one goal: bulletproof reliability. These aren't just incremental updates, they're built to survive the mistakes that would kill other toolboards.

Protection Everywhere. Nearly every input and output features multiple layers of protection against the most common failure modes: reverse polarity, short circuits, ESD strikes, over-current, and over-voltage. Even the mounting holes are grounded to dissipate static buildup that could reset your MCU mid-print.

Switchable Communication. Choose between CAN bus and USB-C with a single jumper (no firmware changes needed). The included adapter board handles all the signal conditioning and protection, while the passthrough port automatically adjusts to match your selection.

Dual Communication Options
Switch between CAN bus and USB-C using a simple jumper. The included adapter board provides signal boosting for rock solid connectivity regardless of cable length.

Intelligent Fan Control
Three PWM fan outputs with automotive-grade MOSFETs. FAN2 includes tachometer feedback so Klipper can detect hotend fan failures before they cause damage. All fans support voltage selection between 5V and 24V via jumpers.

Onboard ADXL345 Accelerometer
Built-in Input Shaping sensor means faster calibration and cleaner prints right out of the box. No external modules to wire up.

Universal Probe Support
Single multiplexed port supports BIQU MicroProbe, BLTouch, and 24V inductive probes. Just set the voltage jumper and connect.

Flexible Thermistor Support
Compatible with both NTC 100K and PT1000/PT100 sensors. A dedicated thermistor monitors the TMC2209 driver temperature for thermal management.
