Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) 3D Printer

The Prusa CORE One+ is a fully enclosed CoreXY 3D printer built for both newcomers and experienced makers. It delivers high speed printing and excellent print quality across a generous 250×220×270mm build volume. The all steel exoskeleton frame provides rigidity and long term stability, while intuitive software and preconfigured profiles mean you can go from unboxing to your first print in minutes. With access to nearly one million free models on Printables.com, you'll have no shortage of projects to tackle.

Built on Prusa's reputation for durability, the CORE One+ is constructed from premium materials and engineered for reliability with minimal upkeep. The enclosed chamber reaches temperatures up to 55°C and includes active temperature control, allowing consistent results with standard materials like PLA and PETG (even with the door closed) as well as more demanding filaments such as ASA, PC, and Nylon.

What's New in the CORE One+ (Gen 2)

The second generation keeps the same CORE One platform and adds several practical improvements: less waiting before a print starts, cleaner starts, smoother-looking surfaces, and easier access for maintenance.

Redesigned heatbed mounting on the CORE One+ (Gen 2)

Faster print starts

The redesigned heatbed mounting removes the separate "Absorbing heat" wait for materials using bed temperatures up to 85 °C. Higher-temperature materials benefit from a shorter wait as well.

Surface finish comparison showing reduced repeating patterns

Smoother-looking surfaces

New GT1.5 belts make unwanted repeating patterns finer and harder to notice, especially on large, smooth surfaces where even subtle artifacts can stand out.

Integrated nozzle wiper at the front of the heatbed

Cleaner print starts

The integrated nozzle wiper cleans filament from the nozzle before printing, helping keep loose strands and small blobs away from the print surface.

Gen 2 also picks up the snap-on top panel from the CORE One L. It comes off in seconds without tools, which makes cleaning and maintenance simpler, and the automatic top-vent mechanism underneath is more robust.

Coming From an Original CORE One?

The previous update, CORE One+, added several hardware changes to the original CORE One. The extruder opens the top vent automatically for low temperature materials like PLA and PETG, then closes it for high temperature filaments. A redesigned insertion point makes flexible filaments easier to feed, and the bayonet style spoolholder fits a wider range of spools, including direct feed drybox setups. The One+ also shipped with every firmware update released across the CORE One's production run. All of it carries over into Gen 2.

Plug and Print!

10 minutes from unboxing to your first print

Unpack the printer, run the initial calibration, and you're ready to start printing. The CORE One+ is equipped with sensors that handle the details for you, including fully automatic first layer calibration, filament runout detection, and automatic pause with notifications if anything needs attention. Once a print is started, the machine manages the process so you can focus on other things.

Flawless Precision

Perfect dimensional accuracy with Nextruder

The CORE One+ produces dimensionally accurate prints thanks to Prusa's internally developed print profiles, which are optimized for quality and consistency. The upgraded Nextruder features 360° cooling that allows clean printing of overhangs up to 75°, reducing the need for supports and saving both time and material.

Flawless Precision

Maximum Speed

Fast with every filament, not just specialized ones

The CORE One+ doesn't require specialized high speed filaments to perform. It prints fast with standard PLA, PETG, and advanced materials alike. CoreXY kinematics, a high flow nozzle, Input Shaper, and factory tuned profiles for over 200 filaments combine to deliver speed without compromising print quality.

Maximum speed without a catch

Small Size, Large Volume

Perfect fit for any home, office or farm

The CORE One+ occupies 50% less desk space than an MK4S with an enclosure while offering 30% more build volume. The optimized footprint makes it easy to fit more printers into a given space without sacrificing capability.

Small Footprint, Large Volume

Advanced Materials

Print durable, functional models with ease

The chamber is designed to be as compact as possible, with recessed side panels that reduce internal volume. This allows the chamber to heat up quickly, reaching temperatures up to 55°C for printing ASA, ABS, PC, PA (Nylons), and other advanced materials without warping. Automatic ventilation and active temperature control also allow PLA to print reliably with the door fully closed.

Advanced Materials

Robust Steel Exoskeleton

A design that works and looks the part

The CORE One+ uses an all steel exoskeleton where the enclosure itself is a structural component, providing stability and rigidity to the frame. Despite this integrated design, maintenance remains straightforward. Everything can be disassembled with standard screwdrivers, and Prusa stocks replacement parts for years after release.

Ready for the Future

With Exceptional Backwards Compatibility

The CORE One+ is engineered for years of service, with Prusa's commitment to long term parts availability, firmware development, and upgrade paths built into the product from the start. Prusa has a strong track record of post launch support, providing regular firmware updates and occasional hardware upgrades that extend a printer's capabilities well beyond its release date. When new models are introduced, upgrade kits are made available for existing owners.

Backwards compatibility is also a priority. If you already own an MK4 or MK4S, many accessories carry over to the CORE One+, including print sheets, nozzles, and hotends. The CORE One+ shares a number of proven components with the MK4S, and Prusa offers a conversion kit for those looking to make the switch.
