Beacon Probe Eddy Current Surface Scanner (Rev H)

Beacon (Rev H) is an eddy current displacement sensor for homing and surface scanning on Klipper and Kalico printers. It uses native displacement output to sense the bed with no Z motion, and rapidly builds a dense scan-mode mesh.

Printer Compatibility

• Firmware: Kalico and Klipper
• Connection: USB to single board computer
• Bed: conductive surface or substrate, 400um or thicker, such as bare steel, WHAM BAM, or PEI coated or laminated steel. Use with beds employing large or oversized fixed magnets is not recommended.

Configurations

• Normal: main PCB and sensing PCB assembled flat. Best for Annex or StealthBurner printers.
• Low-Profile: main PCB and sensing PCB assembled flat, along with the cable connector. Best for VzBot, RatRig, or K3 Frostbite printers.

• 1x custom USB cable (6ft included, 10.5ft available for an additional fee)

Important Notes

• Fixed magnets. Beds with large or oversized fixed magnets are not recommended and may not work with Beacon.
• BTT Pi and BTT Manta boards. These are known to damage Beacon devices and must be used with an inline hub or a different SBC.

Warranty

30-day standard warranty following the date of delivery. Using a BigTreeTech Pi or Manta board with the Beacon without an inline hub voids the warranty.
